Honest…Reliable Service!
Inder and Neer are two mechanics that you can rely on! I have been going to Bay Area Auto Service for 5 years now, and prior to that I had not been successful at finding an honest Auto Repair shop. This was the first place that didn’t treat me like a ‘know nothing girl.’ They have ALWAYS been fair and honest w/ me….giving me the real situation, letting me know whether or not it would be a good economic decision to go forward w/ some specific repairs. (They have gotten me out of a number of tight situations!)
Inder & Neer are both very patient, and helpful when explaining everything to their customers, and they are really trying to help you save while still getting what you need.
I have referred a number of friends and family to Bay Area Auto, and all have been universally pleased!!

I have been coming to Bay Area Automotive for several years now. Honesty and auto mechanics are usually not mentioned in the same sentence but Inder on several ocassions told me work that was needed according to other people was not necessary. Bay Area has also not charged me for fixing minor issues that they have found when my cars have been in for service for other issues.
Bay Area Auto is now the first auto service that I look to when I need work done on my cars.

Great service, knowledgeable, and honest. Wish I saw their ad before bringing my car to the dealer for the check engine light… dealer charged $145 and came up with laundry list of repairs that would cost $2000. I brought it to Bay Area Auto and they had my ’02 Bonneville running like new for a lot less

Honest, keeps their word, and quality. Not statements you’ll always find in a shop. Neer and Inder are great guys to deal with, they had my radiator changed when they said they would. Even when ordering parts right before they closed. Great shop and would highly recommend.

Went in for air-conditioning service to replace freon. Neer was the person who helped my wife. We had an online coupon which he honored. He had it done in 30 minutes. He was honest, did a great job and got it working in 100 degree weather for 36 bucks. Great deal!

Mechanics scare you – they tend to be dishonest and indifferent. Not Inder and Neer. They are honest, amicable, and genuinely care about you. I had an excellent experience here.
Rates are low and I felt confident leaving my car in their hands. Besides getting my major maintenance and brakes completed in about 2 hours, they also pointed out a nail in my tire and offered to fix it free of charge if Skip’s (from where I bought the tire and had road hazard protection) couldn’t get it fixed. They also successfully diagnosed a problem I had with my idle, and the problem is now gone. In addition, they aren’t out to squeeze the last drop of money from your pockets. When telling a customer of his truck’s problems, upon telling him that the repair would be expensive (costing ~$1500), they also told him to go back home and debate over whether he wanted to keep the truck and go ahead with said repairs or look into obtaining another vehicle instead.
P.S. They check the annoying check engine light for free, which other places usually charge an arm and a leg for.

These guys are great mechanics and have really great pricing. They don’t try to over charge just because they know we need our cars fixed!! I’ve been bringing my car here for about the past two years. They do auto mechanic work, and other car needed services. I totally trust them with my car, and they always do a great job with a quick turnaround. The location is great because many times I took my car in for an oil change on a Saturday morning and walked down to Oakridge or down the street for breakfast, or grab a coffee from Starbucks. 
I would recommend Bay Area Auto Auto Service to anyone who requires service to a car in need.

My husband and I have used Bay Area Auto Service a few times, and I will no longer bother “calling around” to other mechanics. B.A.A.S. is consistently less expensive than the other shops I’ve called, and are realistic with the time frames they give. I just called about an oil change and was told that they wouldn’t have time today or tomorrow, (with Thanksgiving on Thursday, I figured it’d be a stretch). Inder called me back a few minutes later to let me know they could get it done today if I could get the car in at 3:30. (It’ll be there!!). I couldn’t believe he called me back! That simple act of “above and beyond” service is why I am writing this review. We’ve also had our brakes checked a few times, and were assured the screeching sound was not safety related, but would eventually need to be replaced due to rust damage, (being from IL, that was not a big surprise.) When we took the car back to replace the brakes and rotors, the work was significantly cheaper than anywhere else I looked into. They have never suggested unnecessary repairs, and have given great advice regarding how much money/work to put into our older car before it becomes foolish to continue fixing. For these reasons, and more, I wholeheartedly recommend Bay Area Auto Service for any car-related need!!! Inder and Neer have earned my trust, and continue to provide great work at reasonable prices. We will not take our cars elsewhere!!

We moved to the Almaden Valley area from the East Coast a couple of years ago, and brought my 11 year old Lexus with 320,000 miles on it with us. Over here I bought a 6 year old Jag, and so between the two vehicles, was clearly going to need a good mechanic! After being recommended to and disappointed by various shops, I did a Yelp and stumbled onto these guys. I have to say that, if anything, the reviews understate. These guys are superb: scheduling, prices, work quality, automotive smarts and sheer likeability make them pretty much the best garage I have ever used. Inder, Neer, thanks guys.
